Gozo day 9 - cheese pie and sunset

Today we were so relaxed we didn't unlock the front door until 4.30pm, after a morning reading by the pool and a very late lunch. But the weather was
perfect and we did want to see the sunset over the Westernmost part of the island so we drove out that way and walked along a coastal path - and were very well rewarded. Surprise of the day, a freshwater duckpond up on the cliffs (must be fed by a spring, though we couldn't see one.) Mum took a video to record the loud quacking, but got mainly wind!

Maltese cheese pie for lunch - delicious!
Along our walk into the sunset, a hand carved cave from Roman times - bit worn, but not bad for a 2000 yr-old sand sculpture
There's the Azure window again - and Fungus rock
The sun began to sink

and behind us, the moon began to rise
Aaah! That's what we came to see
On the way back to the car...
Amazing desert plants
and just look at that moon (Dad with his awesome zoom lense) The ducks on the pond seemed excited anyway...
