Gozo Day 2
Today's blog post comes from the DAD...
After the scary scorpion, the biting midges, (forgot to mention those) and the 10cm grasshopper in the kitchen on our first night, our second night was blissfully free from horrors.
Slept like logs and awoke to find another bright sunny day. So today we decided to walk to Marselforn, the nearest to a holiday resort on the island. We enjoyed the sun, the views, the sea, the beer and the local seafront knick-knack shops. Mum bought a whole new outfit! AND wore it on the way home.
We followed the 4-mile round trip by cooling off in the pool back at the villa. Mum then made some delicious bread whilst Dad did nothing much. Now we're waiting for our coq-au-vin to cook, enjoying a glass of wine and some olives.
The villa really is delightful. All stone, floor tiles and beams. We love it! It also comes with its own resident kitten, which is super-friendly. That's all for now folks!!
