Gozo Day 5 - The Western Villages (and coast)

We drove through some of these villages, all pretty much asleep as it was Sunday. We got out and walked around some interesting geological features though. And checked out one extraordinary church, which remained open.

Fungus Rock where a rare medicinal plant grew (not actually a fungus).
It was harvested and seen like gold dust in the era of the Knights of Malta

The rocks are full of fossilised shellfish
